Update: The winner the LoveFeast HeartGram is Vel of Life and Home at 2102.
Thanks so much to all who entered!
I've been getting the house pulled back together and thought I would go ahead and get ready for Valentine's Day seeing that it's just around the corner.
I found the cutest little ornaments last year and used them on this DIY Valentine's tree, you can see it here. Anyway, I wanted to use them again this year so I pulled them out and did a little fluffing in the great room.
I filled a glass hurricane with some of the ornaments and placed a velvet heart on the lid to a silver dish with a skeleton key to finish it off. After all, our sweeties hold the key to our hearts, so it seemed fitting.

While out a couple of weeks ago
I found some homespun Valentine ornaments.
They were super cute
and
the sayings were perfect
so
I gathered up a few and brought them home.
I knew right away what I wanted to do with them,
so I gathered a few things needed to pull it together.

Taking
time
to
smell
the
roses
Mr. Heart surprised me us with a special Valentines Day.
Dinner at my favorite restaurant,
the kind of restaurant we only go to on very special occasions.
This Valentine’s Day was extra special because not only did he surprise me
but also
my mom, our daughter and her husband.
We had a FAMILY Valentine’s Day and it was the BEST!
When we arrived at the restaurant, these beauties were waiting for me…
So today, I’m taking time to smell the roses!
What did you do for Valentine’s Day?
Hope it was full of love!
Blessings,

This is a special day.
A day to go all out for our SWEETHEARTS.
A day to celebrate LOVE!
My SWEETHEART prefers to be the "giver" rather than the "receiver." If done as he prefers, he will lavish me with all kinds of sweetness without receiving so much as a card himself. Knowing his preference, I do the little things, the low cost things, in hopes my SWEETHEART will feel special and know how very much he means to me. (And yes, he DOES get a card!)
I got up early...had to for it to be a SURPRISE!
Setting the table early...
And picking sweet little Pansy's by the light of the moon and some help from the flashlight...
Soon, the sun began to rise. It was beautiful shinning across our Valentine's Breakfast table.
A little bit of sweetness for my SWEET!
His favorite candy is DARK CHOCOLATE!
To my SWEET blogging friends, Happy Valentine's Day!
TO MY SWEETHEART...
YOU ARE AMAZING and I AM SO BLESSED!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
TRUE LOVE...
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous;
love does not brag and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER FAILS.

It is almost Valentine's Day and today I find myself reminiscing...
I am remembering this time last year when MY SWEETHEART surprised me with the wonderful VALENTINE'S SPA WEEKEND at the Grove Park Inn.
If you aren't familiar with The Grove Park Inn, this historic Inn is located in the beautiful mountain region of Asheville North Carolina and is absolutely beautiful!
Upon arrival you will want to allow the red coat, tall hat, and white gloved gentleman to park your car... you won't be needing it again!
This special VALENTINE'S CLASSICAL ROMANCE & SPA EVENT includes excellent shopping, evening entertainment, dining, dance lessons, dancing and on the last evening there is a Grand Ballroom Gala for dancing with a wonderful band, and ahhhhhhh...the SPA!
It was snowing, snowing, snowing!
This picture was taken while we overlooked the outdoor spa as we enjoyed drink, hor d'oeuvres and a warm fire in the relaxing den area located on the Spa Suites floor.
Dressed in your bathing suit and wrapped in your SPA robe, you will FREEZE as you leave the warm indoor spa area and head to the outdoor spa area...you will FREEZE! But once you step down into the hot, bubbly spa and feel those warm bubbles on your freezing face, well it is absolutely amazing!
The outdoor fireplaces are magical...this is a wonderful experience, especially at night!
Notice the icicles, they kept getting longer, and longer as we leisurely enjoyed the beautiful view and scrumptious hor d'oeuvres !

This picture is of the inside Spa area, but the picture doesn't do it justice. It is so unique with the stone walls, and ceiling with a sky light that spans the length. You cannot see them in this picture, but there are water falls on both sides, wonderful massaging waterfalls, so great for soothing your neck and back ... ahhhhhhh!
Heading to dinner the Concierge offered to snap our picture...
We always have a wonderful time at the Grove Park Inn.
It is the most relaxing place to visit! Marvelous dining, shopping, entertainment and did I say . . . R E L A X I N G!
