Circa 1910 Home Tour

Sunday, May 3, 2015

Happy Saturday!

I've been on the historic home theme here lately and have a gorgeous circa 1910 Victorian to share with you today.

The authentic details in this home have been preserved while incorporating many modern conveniences.  Located in the heart of Historic Georgetown, South Carolina, this home has three floors, 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 4,600 sq. ft., and at least 8 fireplaces.

I love the exterior of this home.  The Tudor diamond-panel windows are so pretty and look at those porches!  Two levels and they wrap around too.

Come on, let's get this tour started...

Historic Home in Georgetown, SC

Love the pots of ivy spilling over onto the charming brick walkway and front stairs.

The American and South Carolina flags proudly fly.

The foyer has knotty pine floors, a fireplace and the wainscoting is gorgeous.

The dining room has a fireplace too.

Love the chandelier and dark brown upper walls.

The morning room extends the length of the home.  With windows from one end to the other, this room is bright and cheerful.  There is a fireplace at one end and just to the right is the kitchen.

The other side of the morning room has a sitting area with french doors leading out to the porch.

The kitchen has open shelving, yellow subway tile, a pot filler over the stove, a wine cooler, and a red Aga radiant heat cast-iron stove.

I love this built-in with leaded glass doors and there is a fireplace in this room too.

There are two sinks; one at the bar and the other in the butcher block island.

The butler's pantry has yellow shiplap walls and beadboard ceilings.
How I would love to have all that storage space.

Just off the kitchen is a den with another fireplace.

The laundry room is huge.  Look at all those windows!
There is a sink, great storage space, a folding station, office area, and more yellow shiplap walls.
Maybe I would actually enjoy doing laundry in this room?

This room is being used as an office and there is a fireplace in this room too.
So pretty how the diamond-panel detail tops the french doors.

The staircase landing is beautiful with a large window and wainscoting.

This room isn't large but how nice to have a fireplace in your bedroom.

  6. Cindy- I just love that house. It makes me miss the historical district we used to live in and the two houses I rehabbed there. In this area that house would go for about 1/3 of that price. it is amazing how different the market is all over the US. xo Diana
