I am so happy today!
The sun is shining and this weekend we spring forward. I am ready for longer and warmer days!

Just off the downstairs guest room and kitchen you’ll find a tiny little room,
the main floor powder room.
When we first moved in and considering how to update this room, the obstacle was the tile.
How to make the old green ceramic tile look good?
Red is my favorite color
but I didn't start out planning on using it in this room.
However, I was growing tired of the wallpaper search,
trying to find something to work with our green tile,
when I came across this wallpaper.
It has hints of the same green as the tile, so I got it!
There was something else that sweetened this choice of wallpaper.
Hanging in a closet were several swag and jabot window treatments that I had no place to use.
Once the wallpaper was up and I began contemplating window treatments I remembered having these and they worked perfectly!

A scented decanter in the window, a gift from my sister…
A touch of spring with Pottery Barn flowers…
Across the room…
These fleur de lis pictures were purchased from Bombay Company.
The pattern is printed on the glass and there was no backing so the gold pattern got lost with the wallpaper pattern coming through, so I used a tone-on-tone black wrapping paper to back the frames.
It looks so good now and the paper shimmers as the sunlight shines in through the window.

This towel rack hangs on the back of the door and is also from Bombay...
The mirror was a consignment shop find
and the milk glass vase was part of a lot purchased at auction.
