It's summertime!
Well almost, but it is already hot and humid here in the South, which has me dreaming about the beach.  Today we are touring an adorable ocean front cottage in Olde Naples Beach Florida.  The cottage is just a short walk to the world famous Naples fishing pier which is the perfect spot to enjoy breathtaking sunsets, manatees, dolphins, and other wildlife.

Oh my goodness do I have a great cottage to share with you!  Today's home tour is a charming fixer-upper with a price can't be beat!

This little cottage was built in the early 1900's and is located in the historic district of town.  It needs a lot of TLC but the bones are amazing.  Just look at the adorable exterior, the trim work is amazing.

For today's tour we are heading to Tanyard Hill Farm, located in Americus Georgia.  This beautiful property includes 65 acres, an 1840's antebellum house which is listed on the National Register of Historic places and so much more.  Over the last 175 years it has been a working plantation, stagecoach stop, bed and breakfast, equestrian training and boarding, but most of all a cherished home.

In addition to the main house there are many other historic structures on the property, including three stables, a tack room studio, hay barn, two barns, two pigeonaries, a tennis court, ponds, pecan orchard, and swimming pool!  Come on, let's begin our tour...

Be prepared to drool because the estate we are touring today is a southern charm spectacular seeped in history!  Secessionville Manor was built in 1820 and is one of the greatest historical estates in Charleston, SC.  The Manor House was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers during the Civil War.  The grounds are gorgeous and the views incredible as you can see the Morris Island Lighthouse from the east porch which overlooks the marsh.

This 1883 Folk Victorian farmhouse is a true piece of Texas history.  The owner and his brother were Texas Rangers and members of "Terry's Rangers," the 8th Texas Calvary of the Confederate State of America.   Built by Atreus and Katherine Clay near historic Independence, TX, this beautiful home has been in the same family for 4 generations and was formerly used as a Bed & Breakfast and wedding venue called the House of Atreus.
