BABY IT’S WARM OUTSIDE!

I have to share something funny!
Yesterday, the weather was so BEAUTIFUL I headed out to the garden.
There was a warm breeze, the sky was a bright Carolina blue, and before I knew it I found myself humming a line from the old tune, “Baby It’s Warm Outside.”  Remember that old song that Doris Day and Bing Crosby sang?  I never knew it well, but for some reason that chorus and one line (the only line I know) came in my head as I walked through the garden...

So I began snapping pictures
and
was humming that tune and the only line I knew..."Baby, it's warm outside"...

Just walking along, snapping pictures,
enjoying the flowers, warm breeze and blue sky,
humming a tune and the only line that I THOUGHT I knew
when it dawns on me...
the name of the song is actually "Baby it’s WARM COLD Outside!”

Ha!  The only line I thought I knew, I didn't know!
Glad I was humming it to myself and no one could hear!
Oh well, I was having fun humming it "My Way!"  That's a song by Frank Sinatra, I don't know it and won't be humming it!

Here’s the tune… feel free to sing along and add the word “warm” if you’d like!

Since I'm sharing pretty blooms...
this was taken in my mother's neighborhood on a street lined with cherry trees...

  9. Beautiful Cindy! I'm a little envious.. we are expecting a cold front to move in with a little snow in the foothills.. darn! I'm glad I didn't go to the nursery and buy flowers last week. They wouldn't have made it!

    Enjoy your weekend!
