CHRISTMAS CHANDELIER TUTORIAL & A WINNER

Dwellings
The kitchen chandelier is all dressed up for Christmas!

I really look forward to decorating the chandelier for Christmas so let's get started!
Using gold mesh, ribbon, and garlands of red berries and gold leaves to decorate, I first unpack the storage container and spread everything out on the kitchen floor...

This is the kitchen chandelier without the decorations.  If your chandelier has crystals, you may want to remove them before starting so they won't be knocked off during the process.  I've already removed some of the crystals...

I begin with the gold mesh, wrapping it around the chandelier arms. I continue wrapping it over and under the arms and then continue up the chain.

The mesh is stretched open as needed.  I use thin wire clipped with wire cutters to help hold things in place...

So far, we've used gold mesh and two gold garlands.  The gold garland is used on the chandelier arm area only...

It's time to add the red berry garland which is used on the arms and will also continue up the chain to the ceiling...

Now, it is time for the bow which is a wide ribbon in a shimmery gold.  There is no wire in this bow, I find it looks softer and is easier for storing from year to year.  The bow is tied at the ceiling and dangles down the chain of red berry garland...

One nice thing about this project, the materials can be used for many years, so it's pretty & thrifty!

The winner of the burlap pillow giveaway is Debbie from DebbieDoo's.  Congrats Debbie!

  15. Hi cindy,
Absolutely love what you did to your chandelier!
I always want to decorate mine but have no idea
what to do with it, so never do anything, well,
guess I have hung some ornaments or something off of it, but never really have been thrilled with it
    anyway...........lol
Yours is absolutely stunning..........so beautiful. Just might have to see what I can do.
I have had a hard time getting started on my decorations this year for some reason. I quick put up some for our friends visit, but haven't done anything else until this afternoon. Had
fun decorating my new white room tho..........
and still have more to work on tomorrow, so guess I am getting in my groove finally....lol

Your mantle looks great too, very pretty. that was one of my first things I did, but still trying to decide if I really like it or not, lol
    but will see..........

    Take care sweetie,
    Blessings, Nellie
