TOUR PERMA GRIN ~ Comforts of Home

Welcome to Perma Grin.  A beach rental at Kure Beach, NC with a name that fits to a "T"!

Our family took a late vacation this year and stayed in this 7 bedroom, 6 1/2 bath oceanfront house for vacation and it was the perfect place for us and our pups!

Come on in, I'll show you around...

Just inside the front door was a wall of family photographs.

For me, one of the nicest aspects of this beach home was the many references to their family.  It didn't feel like a beach rental property, it was as though we were staying with family...

This house had three levels and on the entry level were four bedrooms with three full baths...
This is the room Mr. Heart and I stayed in and neither of us minded all the mermaids!  A little girls dream room...

Here are more rooms on this level.  It wasn't easy getting angles to capture the rooms, they were so much prettier in person...

Since it was S&J's anniversary week, they were given the master bedroom with jacuzzi just outside on the deck...

There were a LOT of stairs in this home!

Down these stairs was access to both garages, a game area, two bedrooms and a full bath...

Speaking of garages, there was plenty of room for all of our vehicles...

Up these stairs was the main living area.  So many stairs!

A guest room with full bath...

The living areas...

Game room with a half bath and doors leading out on the deck...

Heading back toward the kitchen area...

The eating area and kitchen...

The kitchen was amazing!

We went to town a time or two, but most meals were prepared here.  At times there were six of us preparing a meal in the kitchen with plenty of room for us to work without tripping over each other.

As GREAT as the house was, now I get to show you the BEST part!

The balconies, pool and ocean...

We taught our pups to swim!

I know, I know!  How funny to have a life jacket for a pup!

My sister has a baby standard poodle and she had all kinds of apparatus for him, so Ellie-Mae got to try on the life jacket and go for a swim in the pool!  Yes, she was glad when it was over...

When we needed a break from the sun there was plenty of shade while still being able to enjoy the views...

We talked, cooked, ate, watched movies, ate, swam in the pool, rode the waves, ate, walked on the beach, (we ate a lot!), and we also...

CELEBRATED 1 year anniversaries...

Kure beach is beautiful.

Both morning and night the ocean views were spectacular, making us ever mindful of God's love and the beauty of His creation.

Our son is great with the camera and here are a few views he captured...

This beach rental felt more like a personal home than a rental.

It was so nice and comfortable, and the name really does fit to a "T".  This week was full of laughter and grins as our family spent time together at Perma Grin!

Hope you enjoyed the tour...

Blessings,
Cindy

  1. Wow Cindy! Kure Beach is a favorite place that my hubby and I love to visit too! This place is AMAZING to say the least! I know what you mean about staying someplace where you felt like you were family...several years ago we stayed at a condo on Topsail Island that was privately owned and had all of those extra touches that made it seem like home. Thanks for sharing this beautiful beach house....what a blessed time you must have had with your family. And your son-in-law is one AWESOME photographer!

  9. What a spectacular place! I've had a few beach rentals in my day, but nothing like that. The hard part for me would be returning home to my hovel. LOL!

  10. What a perfect place to stay even if it DID have a lot of steps, Cindy. Absolutely gorgeous. Love that you slept in the little mermaid's bedroom. What fun! How nice that you were able to take your pets with you- that doesn't happen often- xo Diana
