SLOW SUMMER DAY

Ferns.
Summertime greenery that grows almost anywhere, especially in places like Florida where we happen to be visiting.
From the staghorn to the resurrection fern they are lush and grow in abundance
as shrubbery lining the house front,
along the tree branches,
and on rooftops.

Slow summer day sights...

  7. Beautiful! I "inherited" a yard full of Christmas ferns when we moved into our house 17 years ago and they still come up every year. They add so much.

  9. Love seeing the ferns on the roof! I live in Denver which is dry so I don't get to see lush greens very often. Thanks for sharing!

  11. Somehow lovely ferns just make me feel cooler just by looking at them. How I wished they would grow in Arizona. :)

  12. Fabulous photos with all the lovely ferns. I absolutely love these different locations for growing ferns. This is a special climate in Florida and grows so many unusual plants. Have a great week!

  15. Cindy, Thanks for sharing your resurrection and staghorn ferns. They're gorgeous, and I wish they'd grow here, but I think we're a little too far north.
