SUNFLOWER CLOCHE

Happy Day!
Yesterday I spend the day with a sweet friend of mine.  We ate lunch, talked and laughed.  Got Starbucks coffee, ate SB lemon cake, talked and laughed.  And of course, we went shopping!
I was so excited to find this sunflower cloche.

You may remember my post, Spring Cloche, where I shared a bird cloche my cousin had given me for Christmas.  Most cloche's are clear glass, so what I liked so much about both of these is the painted detailing.  Nice touch don't ya' think!
So, what to put inside?  Let's start with some popcorn plant tied with raffia.

A silver tray, for a bit of sparkle...

Some birds, of course...

Birds need some nesting, so shredded paper and green moss should do the trick!  Oh, and a glass dish to hold it all.

Here are a few close up shots showing the cloche details.
Just love the sunflower and bee...

Sweet little stamp, adds a french flair...

Now this is special, it says Friendship.  Both my friend and I bought one.  I'll be thinking of her often because this will be on my kitchen table!

Where there are bees there are butterflies.

Now, putting it all together...

Found this cloche at TJ Maxx.
I love hearing from you, please leave sweet comments.
Blessings,
Cindy

  14. I saw a cloche like that at HomeGoods a few weeks ago and loved it. However, I wasn't really sure how to display it because I didn't know if you could see what was inside. I like what you did with it though.

I have a similiar shaped plain one I'm not using now and if I wasn't so scared, I'd paint something on it to make it look like yours.

Your cloche vignette is perfect. I love the embellished cloche, it's perfect for summer. Popcorn plant? New to me. This is the first one I've seen. And the birds are gorgeous. Did you paint those? What a fun reminder of a special day with a friend. Enjoy!

  23. I found that same cloche at T.J's a couple of weeks ago. I fell in love with it immediately.
I knew that whatever I put inside of it wouldn't show up a great deal. the cloche itself was so darn cute that I didn't care.

    Enjoy!

  25. This week my friend Eloise (pronounced E-Lois) gave me a transparent glass high wire insulator. I put it on my sofa table, and thought "Hmmmmm, wonder if I could turn THAT into a cloche."

So far I haven't found the right "tiny" to put under it - - - but am keeping my eyes open.
