Cabin Sweet Cabin

We closed on our creekside mountain cabin in December 2016 and haven't stopped since!  It has been such an undertaking choosing this fixer-upper, living 3 hours away and it being basically a total gut job from plumbing to electrical and most everything else from floor to ceiling.  The most recent interior phase of the project was to convert an attached garage into a laundry area, master bedroom and master bath.

I am so very thankful for our home away from home and so happy the interior is finished...but still exhausted even though this last phase was finished in November.  With Thanksgiving and Christmas and three birthday's and the New Year coming right on the heel...it is now time to decompress!

There are always sweet things along with the tiring, like receiving this custom sign for the cabin...I adore it!  A crowning jewel to commemorate all of our love and hard work on our "Creekside Dwellings" which is the name we have settled on for the cabin.

There are some exterior repairs to be made and painting, but for now...we are going to sit back and enjoy!

Hope your New Year is off to a wonderful start!

Blessings,
Cindy

  2. What a lovely piece. It must have been exhausting tackling this with Christmas around the corner. Thanksgiving through Christmas is a busy time and this year was worse. Thanksgiving being so close to Christmas drives me crazy.

    Take a rest.
