In the Meantime

After Christmas, once all the decorations are put away, doesn't it look a little bare!
Is it just me or do you feel the same way?

And now that Christmas is packed away, there is much more to do!
Mantels
and
tabletops
and
kitchen counters,
so many places needing to be decorated!

And how do I want to decorate these spaces for winter?
Is it just me or are you asking yourself the same question?

Well, that's just too much to decide right now, so I'm sitting back and going to ponder that a bit.
And in the meantime...

I've brought in some camellias from the garden and placed them in this vintage pansy vase.

I've added a candle to the center of the vase with a few vintage condiment bottles and placed them on top of a wooden chopping block.

A little decor for the kitchen island.  It sure is nice having these flowers to bring in from the garden when little else is blooming.

The reflection of the flowers, candle and glass bottles is so pretty.

And I do love the cozy feel this adds to the kitchen as the sun is setting.

So sweet friend, do you find yourself pondering how to decorate for the rest of winter?

Blessings,
Cindy

  1. Love the serene and simple statement your vignette makes. I think we really do need to name the time between Christmas and Valentines and come up with an official way to decorate it. I always feel so blah after Christmas passes and could use some inspiration this time of year.

  3. This is pretty. Now that my pieces are down I'm switching things up for a winter feel. I usually get an overwhelmed feeling but once I think for a day or two ideas pop into my head.

    Happy New Year
