AMAZE ME MONDAY #40

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Are you like me,
as soon as the Christmas celebrations are over,
you don't waste any time in taking all those decorations down and packing them away?

With our house a bit topsy-turvy, the only decorating I did this year was on the front porch.  I missed putting up the decorations and being able to enjoy them throughout the Christmas season, but can honestly say that I didn't miss taking it all down and packing it away...I don't enjoy that part at all!
One thing I already know about remodeling a kitchen,
I actually enjoy taking down Christmas decorations and packing them away more than I enjoy the mess that goes with remodeling!  Guess I better get used to it though,
this is going to be a  l--o--n--g  process!

We have some wonderful features this week, the perfect start for 2014.
I am looking forward to seeing what you'll be up to this new year,
please share about Amaze Me Monday so others can join the party too!!!

Enjoy the three top viewed...

#3 ~ Have you packed up all your Christmas decorations and need some ideas for a beautiful vignette?  Love the pieces Marty has used in hers, so check out this After Christmas Decor!

#2 ~ Shelia shares her Top Viewed for 2013 with us, and this is just one of my favorites!

#3 ~ Mary has been busy, busy, busy as you'll see in her 2013 Furniture Makeovers Recap.
Seriously beautiful transformations here!

CONGRATULATIONS!

  3. Happy New Year, Cindy!

Lovely features and good luck with your kitchen renovation! When we were building our house, the kitchen took the longest to complete. Are you ready? Four, 4 (!!!!) years! So, just think of that l-e-n-g-t-h of time, and yours will seem speedy!

Thanks for hosting and have a lovely week!

  6. Oh Cindy, can't say I envy you at all with your remodel, but I'm certain you'll have an amazing outcome. As for me, I'm happy to have all the holiday items stowed, sitting in my sunroom and catching up on some reading. Thanks for hosting. I enjoy all of those featured as well my fellow bloggers who've linked up.

  7. Hi, Cindy! I know what you mean. It's always more fun to put it up than take it down. I can only imagine the upheaval of remodeling a kitchen. Hang in there. It'll all be worth it in the end! :)

  8. Oh Cindy....I feel your pain. When it's all finished I'm pretty sure you'll quickly forget the pain of kitchen birth. ;)
I know what you mean about putting Christmas away....the packing away is so tedious. One year I was in a big hurry and laid everything out in the basement to organize and pack up. I won't tell you how long it was before I actually got everything into totes and boxes. Never will I do that again!!! Gotta girl up and face the task! LOL!!

Wishing you an Extraordinary New Year!

  9. Thank you for hosting all of 2013 and looking forward to the fun in 2014! We had an awful kitchen remake 4 years ago, but I still see it and love it and you will too, Cindy! I will put away the C'mas decor after the week coming, as I always host a tea party for friends next week. Happy New Year!

  15. Well....... I haven't taken anything down from Christmas yet because we usually wait until epiphany - tomorrow! As soon as that's done, then I have to pack up all my Christmas decorations for two years! We will be putting our house on the market this summer and our new home won't be built until next year! So, everything will have to go into storage. :(
Thanks for hosting this fun blog hop - I appreciate it! May you have a happy, healthy, prosperous and peaceful 2014!

  25. Hi Cindy and I'm back to join your party. Again, I thank you for featuring my dining room. I'm wishing you fast remodeling. We've gone through a small amount of work in the kitchen and the dust was over whelming even though every doorway was taped off. Your kitchen will be beautiful!
    Be a sweetie,

  32. Hi Cindy,
Hope this finds you well and warm. Dee says Asheville is freezing.........fortunately, there apt. is well insulated so they aren't feeling it inside at all,
but when they have to walk the dogs or go out. oh my..........we experienced some of that wind when we were there in Nov. and it was freezing temps. Didn't really feel like freezing until that wind started whipping..........it is something!
Glad you kitchen remodel is coming along, yea, it is a messy thing............we had to have our kitchen redone about 9 yrs. ago cause our house
flooded, and the dust was just amazing...........but it was worth it in the end, but not fun while it is happening altho it is exciting watching the
    progression of your expectations................
Hope you have a lovely Christmas, we did, but then got sick the day after.............but so grateful it was not on Christmas day. I still haven't taken
my decoration down, just not ready, guess cause we missed a week of being able to enjoy them, while we we sick! lol
Hope you have a beautiful 2014 hon,
    Blessings, Nellie
and thanks for hosting this fun party.
