FESSIN' UP & SNOWMAN

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

This snowman is one of my favorite Christmas decorations.  It was a Christmas gift from my cousin which makes it very special and it just draws the children that come for the holidays.  They love watching the little multi-colored lights as they flash on and off.  It really is the cutest!

There is one problem though...where in the world did I have him last year?
As I continue digging into box after box of Christmas decorations I keep finding myself asking that very question..."where does this go?"
So, I'm fessin' up!
I have been going back to last years Christmas pictures to remember where I put things last year!
I've been changing up a few things, but this has helped me not have to totally "reinvent the wheel" if you know what I mean!

So, what about you?  Do you look at pictures from previous years to help you remember how you decorated
OR
do you just pull it out of the box and start fresh?
(Please don't say your memory serves you so well that you remember where everything goes...LOL!)
Come on...fess up!
Love your sweet comments...

IT'S ON!

Christmas.
Are you like me and today, the day after Thanksgiving, is the day you get busy with Christmas decorating?  All of the boxes have been brought in from the storage closet and down from the attic, so it's on!  I've been looking for some new inspiration for decorating this year and found some great ideas...take a peek at these!

I love this one.  A tray, glass container, ornaments & some snow...so simple!  Oh, and some ribbon too!

Such sparkle!  A bowl, candles, silver garland and ornaments = beautiful!

Isn't this sweet!  Decorating for Christmas doesn't have to be expensive!

(all above bhg.com)
So cute...just goes to show that anything goes!  Go ahead, light up a bicycle!

Decorating for Christmas will keep us very busy and is a lot of fun, but it can also be stressful!
Today, as I begin this busy day of decorating, I will be mindful of the true meaning of this beautiful season.  Remembering that it isn't about fresh cut Christmas trees, sparkly ornaments, and reindeer...though each of these is ours to enjoy! Christmas is the time to remember and celebrate the miraculous birth of the babe in a manger, who was born to give us life and to be thankful for how very blessed we are!

So sweet friend...is today your "it's on" day?  Love your comments, they make my day!
