Wake up mommy!

Ellie-Mae was ready to get up EARLY this morning!

Yes, she is our baby...we never imagined how she would capture our hearts!

Once the coffee is brewed Mr. Heart joins Ellie-Mae and me on the porch...our favorite morning spot.

It is cool on the porch this morning, feels like fall!

The wind is gently blowing,

the birds are singing as they visit the feeders and

the sun is beginning to gleam through the trees.

I have to get the afghan this morning, there is such a chill in the air!

After a couple cups of coffee Mr. Heart heads upstairs to get busy for the day.  It is so nice on the porch with the sun now shining even brighter.  I think I'll "set a spell" and continue enjoying the beauty of this morning.  So, I get another cup of coffee topped with whip cream along with the book I've been reading. 

I couldn't help but notice the beautiful clematis.

The tiny white blooms are so bright in the morning light.

This sweet cardinal isn't sure about me being so close.

See him peeking over the feeder, he's deciding what to do...

eat or fly away...

I'm so glad he's decided to eat, they are so beautiful and their songs so sweet!

Now, back to my book and coffee...

So thankful for this beautiful morning.

ISN'T HE CUTE!

How about some amusement!

Looking out of my den window one morning I noticed a little something on my fountain.

The fountain is very small, so whatever it is, it is tiny!

I get my camera and snap a picture.

Still not seeing much, I zoom in to get a better look.

I was so surprised to see a tiny little frog!

Wanting a closer look, I head outside.

Not wanting to scare him away, I again use the camera to zoom in...

Isn't he CUTE!

Now, I realize that not everyone thinks tiny little frogs are cute.
I have a cousin who is scared to death of frogs, no matter how tiny!  
But for me, maybe due to raising boys, I think he is cute!

THE PORCH

Welcome to our porch...

Love birds, aren't they sweet! 

Mr. Heart and I are really enjoying the screened porch this summer.  Most mornings we are able to share a cup of coffee or two before he starts work.  It's a wonderful time together as we watch the birds eating their seed, hummingbirds visiting the flower pots around the porch, neighbors out for early morning walks and especially enjoying each other...nothing better!

We found this vintage mirror a few years ago and it used to hang in one of our guest rooms centered above two antique iron beds.  We have since put a queen sleigh bed in that room so the mirror was brought out to the porch where it's new home is hanging above an old enamel top table. The love birds were a birthday gift to me from my cousin.  She says they remind her of me and my hubby...isn't she sweet!!!  I love them!

The fan was purchased at TJ Maxx and during the late summer afternoons we use it often!  Burlap is all the rage these days and I just added a touch of it to the porch.  This burlap pillow cover with felt "P" was a win from 

At The Picket Fence...yippee!

OK, I'VE SEEN IT ALL!

OK, I've seen it all!

After picking up a shower gift from Crate & Barrel I get in my car to head back home.  I leave the mall parking lot and work my way into the turn lane traffic when I see a "speck" and wonder...WHAT IS THAT?

Well, like most bloggers, I keep my camera in my purse just in case a Kodak moment arises, so I quickly think...I'll take a picture of it so I can zoom in to see what the heck that is!  Just then the light turns green, traffic starts moving and I am trying to keep an eye on the road while I have one hand on the steering wheel and the other hand is grabbing my purse, fumbling to find my camera and get it out of my purse, then out of the camera case, turned on and then up to my eye so I can snap a picture...

all while trying to stay as close to this car as I can...

cause I am so curious and just have to find out what that speck is!

(Do you see it now?)

So, I snap a few pictures and we stop at the next traffic light.

Still just seeing a speck, I think...I'll turn on the cameras DIGITAL ZOOM 2.3 OPTION!  So, I make the camera adjustment and...

I can't believe it!  As the light turns green and we take off again, I can now see it and notice it is twirling in the wind around left and then back around to the right...DO YOU SEE IT!?

Don't laugh...I know, I know...it doesn't take much to amuse me!
