Most every year we have birds nesting in the baskets on our front doors and often their nesting begins early so I have to wait a while before replacing the fall flowers with spring flowers.
It's true again this year, it's already May and I'm just now able to add some spring to these baskets. But the little birds finally flew away so I am anxious to get going...
Here is the nest...isn't it sweet!
Each nest is so different and I don't have the heart to throw them away, so I think I will keep this one here for now...
Now that the Fall flowers have been removed I needed something bright and cheerful, so I went to Michael's to see what I could find.
Considering there are two baskets to fill which can get expensive,
and the front of our house gets full sun most of the afternoon,
and that more of our feathered friends will be making this their home...
I wanted to keep it simple.
So I searched for the least expensive flowers I could find.
So I chose these white flowers...
and a few pinks...
Once I began putting the arrangements together, I remembered that I planted pink geraniums in the urns on the front porch, so I thought the arrangement might look best with just one color...so all white it is!
We like having double front doors and usually leave them closed...
But sometimes we open them to let the sunshine in...
The two baskets are full of beautiful flowers.
Turned out pretty good for forty-five dollars!
So happy you came to visit, I love hearing from YOU!
Blessings,
Cindy
