Tour a Historic Southern Charmer~The Carolina Inn

Thursday, April 3, 2014

Mr. Heart and I recently attended a wedding in Chapel Hill, NC.
The wedding was on Friday night, so we decided to make a weekend out of it and stayed in
a historic southern charmer.

Come on in and tour The Carolina Inn...

The grand entry is surrounded by sitting areas...

Each sitting area was unique;
classic style with a historic feel and bright colors adding a bit of fun.

Gorgeous lighting, damask wallpapers, antiques, Chippendale chairs, and fresh flowers...

The Inn has three floors with lots of hallways leading to the guest rooms
and each hallway has a sitting area...

Some areas were very formal...

And others were classic and full of charm...

The guest rooms and baths were beautifully decorated,
historic charm with bright and cheerful touches...

Historic,
antiques,
classic style,
the decor was right up my alley...I was in heaven!

Hope you enjoyed the tour!  Please leave a comment so I'll know you did...

  2. The inn is absolutely beautiful, Cindy, and the whole time I was looking at the pictures, I thought of your home and how it is decorated! I love all of the sitting rooms, that's an elegant touch. The furnishings are exquisite. And your room! I know I would be very. comfortable there. We love B&B's simply for the reason that the rooms are warmer and cozier than hotel rooms. How nice that you stayed at such a wonderful place during your visit. I know you will have fond memories!

    XO,
    Jane

  5. What a lovely Inn. So enjoyed seeing the classic style and elegance of their rooms, my preference also. Seems like so many have gone the "all white" rooms style of décor, and I am not a fan of that! Always enjoy seeing such tastefully appointed rooms. Thanks for sharing, Vicki in Louisville KY

  9. Nice tour, Cindy, thank you. Some of the interior decor reminds me of the Greenbrier (esp the checkerboard hallway). I love seeing notable places in notable towns.
