Custom Home Tour ~ High Country Craftsman

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Cheval is an equestrian community with large wooded home sites located just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.
The home we are touring today is the High Country Craftsman built by Grandfather Homes.
It has 4 Bedrooms, 4 Full baths, 2 half baths, and is 5,325 square feet.  My favorite part of this home is the kitchen!

Take a peek for yourself...

The front porch...

Just as you enter and to the right is the dining room.  The back doorway leads to the butlers pantry...

Straight ahead is the main living area...

The fireplace is stacked stone, a firewood box is located to the right of the fireplace,
and the wood walls are hand scraped...

The kitchen is AMAZING!
This custom kitchen is very large with high ceilings, top of the line appliances, amazing work surfaces, tons of storage, and plenty of natural light streaming in through four large windows...

The sink is located under the front windows.
With so much natural light, I wouldn't mind washing dishes in this kitchen...

Thermador six burner gas range with griddle, pot filler, double ovens, and look at the hand scraped wood on this island...

Just on the other side of the island is a Thermador dishwasher and fridge, and the doorway on the right leads to the butlers pantry...

This butlers pantry is HUGE.
Complete with a sink, dishwasher, fridge, and plenty of storage.  It's basically another full kitchen...

The first floor office...

The master suite...

The ceiling treatment was so unique, here's a closer look...

The master bath...

Look at the tile in the shower, so much sparkle!
And the water to fill the free standing tub is falling from the ceiling...

To the second floor...

Once on the upper landing this is the view to the living area below...

More views from the upper landing...

A cozy little nook...

The bedrooms were a very nice size and each had a sitting area...

There were several areas to enjoy the great outdoors.  This is the back porch just off the main living area...

A fire place with seating and just to the right is a pond with small waterfall...

Have a lot of cars, there's room for them here!  A separate living area is located above the detached garage...

I hope you enjoyed the High Country Craftsman.
This was one of my favorite homes on the tour, what was your favorite room(s)?

  3. The large butler's pantry is definitely my favorite room!
Loved the corner windows, the open cabinets, the white lattice for the red wine storage. Great room to have all of your extra things stored in!

  7. My gosh- What an amazing place. I love it. I am trying to figure out if the kitchen cabinets are grey or a greyed green? I love them whatever they are.
The only thing I don't care for is the tub filling from the ceiling. I have had something similar in one of the houses we redid.....let me tell you--BIG mistake. The splash factor is horrible! xo Diana
